Holy Spirit

If the Holy Spirit inspired the Biblical authors, how come there are so many errors in it?
The Bible is said by many believers to have been inspired by the Holy Spirit, who Jesus said would lead us into all truth. That being the case, how come the Biblical record is littered with errors, not least the classification of bats as birds in Leviticus, and the differing accounts of the same events — for example, the names and numbers of women who visited the tomb on the morning of Christ’s resurrection?
well it’s because people wrote the bible, not the holy spirit. it was not dictated to them word for word. i believe the bible needs to be taken down from the pedestal on which it is placed, it is fallible
edit – the Catholic Church believes the bible to be infallible – if the holy spirit inspired the authors, then there could be no mistakes. but this notion must be dispensed with because it is known that over time there have been additions to the bible. still the church would argue that all this is part of god’s plan as things may not make sense now, but will at the end of time
